p1ggm Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 just had the belt done on the car tonight, and amazingly the original belt, as fitted by subaru in the factory, was 2 teeth out on one of the cams, we couldnt believe it. i thought that would have minced the engine, but its been running sweet. very strange oh and it was the driver side lower cam that was out, the other 3 were fine
bigdavie Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 wow !! did you do the job yourself ?? if so how hard is it and do you need lock up tools ??!! cheers !!

p1ggm Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 i know, if i had my camera i would have taken pics of it, the car was running great too, very strange we marked where the belt came off just in case too, but lined it up with the original marks and turned it over by hand, al ok, and fired up, ran nicely
