1.8 Sport Decat

Hi all,

I recently became a scooby owner when I bought an imported Wagon last year but just found the forum the other week.

It's a 1.8 Sport AWD, Metallic Black with Purple Flip (factory) and I am looking for a decat2 pipe for it as the original  cat has broken at the collar, however my local performance garage Falkland Performance, Glenrothes (who are top notch by the way and love scoobies) said the exhaust is unlike anything they have seen. Its a bit like the 2.0 sport one but piddlier and slightly different shaped. The 2.0 bits don't fit [8o|]

My question is - can I get a cheap 2.0 sport manifold from a scrapper and just fit it? Does anyone else have a 1.8 here and tried this? I LUV the burble of the flat four and I want to put a 3 or 4" stainless on it when I can afford it.  I want to leave the first (large) cat on and lose the rest to straight pipe and a jap box.

I'm also after another tailgate with spoilers as mine is slightly damaged (rust at window rubbers) second-hand that is...and a turbo bonnet with scoops (classic non-facelift) if anyone in Sunny Scotland is breaking any bits???

Cheers, BW

P.S. it's still a fairly quick motor and Full Comp insurance with no NCB is £190 hehehehehe and it does 45mpg if you drive normally [:(]

Excellent mate! It's cool to be part of the family so to speak lol. Will do like wise.

Have you ever seen a 1.8 before? I hadn't till I got this one. Bloody exhaust is a pain.

Yeah cheers Fuzzy I hope so too. I'm sure if I get the downpipes off a 2.0 sport and the first cat then i'll be ok.

I guess i'll have to trail the scrappies and the papers to find crashed one.
