Whats going on with my clutch??

While i've been driving over the last few days, i have noticed that the clutch biting point is moving lower down the pedal. Twice in as many days, when in traffic, i have felt the pedal 'pop' as i though the rachet is adjusting. I know that on other cars i have the pedal rachet is self adjusting, but is this the same on subaru's? Also i have read that as they have hydraulic clutches, the spring/clip can get worn? If so how easy is this to change/fix on subaru's and where abouts do i find it or would i have to go to a dealer/mechanic?

Also the clutch has started to slip, when accelerating 'hard' in 4th or 5th, the revs will rise rapidly, but the speedo doesn't could this be linked to the problems with the pedal/cable or is it likely i need to replace my clutch as well? If so what would be a good one to go for, i have a Sti V5 type RA.

Sounds like the clutch is on its way out.

depending on where you are based you have afew options for garages

1. perth/ stirling area -  AWD in Perth
