phil Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Robbo I have not deleted it I am reviewing it Re post and it will be deleted and your User Name suspended Please allow us to deal with the matter properly
p1ggm Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I also back Gumball, I dont see why people cant have a say about the services of garages if they have had a bad service, but its ok to say if you had a great service i know there is legal issues but i dont see why it should be aimed at sidc when its the comments on an individual and not the views of the club? anyway with this thread most people will still see Gumball got a bad deal from them as they are mentioned in the title
phil Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Ok Guys PLEASE LET ME REVIEW THE THREAD RATHER THAN KEEP HAVING TO COME BACK HERE AND CHECK WHATS GOING ON I have not said Gumball can't post I want to check over the facts before allowing it Is that not unreasonable? Now please I will review this evening once I have finished my day job
McGoo Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Robbo - wanted to make the point so much you had to post twice !![][][][][][][][] Do you not know how to use a computer ??? ha ha Hows is going mate - when we going to see you and yer motor at a Glasgow meet. On the topic, I didn't read the thread in question so do not know what stage it got to before it was pulled from the forum but I suspect that it was not the main point about the root cause of the complaint in question, perhaps just the nature/wording of one or more posts within the thread. I am of the same opinion to most posters in this thread, that it should be possible to post up legitimate critique of experience with main dealers - good or bad. Obviously negative criticism must not be libelous and be based on fact. If main dealers do understand that there is negative feedback within the recognised Drivers Club then that should be their prompt to improve the service to their customers. Its what any other business would do. Keep their customers happy. Especially with Subaru launching a new MY06 model this year, they would (should ) be looking for existing customers to perhaps upgrade to the latest version. Tuppence worth spent.
=Robbo= Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 http://www.faqs.org/faqs/usenet/creating-newsgroups/part1/ The only thing you'd lose is avatars and PM's. Anyone fancy a Scottish scoobs newsgroup, completely uncensored + an uncensored IRC live chat channel? I can set up both in minutes. Let’s give Phil a chance to look at the thread contents first and if your not happy with the outcome let me know. Cheers Robbo.
phil Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 I have emailed Halleys Garage asking for there comments on the thread before reinstating it Thanks for your patiance
=Robbo= Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Yip ok, if that's the official guidance to posting a complaint about a company or product, I will do the same before posting my complaint. I have no problem with giving the garage in question a chance to respond before posting. Although if they don't that doesn't make my complaint any less relevant. This is an interesting situation and I shall watch with interest. Remember this is not print or broadcast media, the companies in question can post a reply in their defence any time they like - that's unless the thread has been removed of course. Robbo.
andy Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 I typed a lengthy reply to this, but all I got was "We are currently unable to serve your request We apologize, but an error occurred and your request could not be completed. This error has been logged. If you have additional information that you believe may have caused this error please report the problem here." Cool forum software, this. Streets ahead of the previous junk...
