I hate working offshore!!

2. do something about it i.e get your cv in order and look for another job

Everyone has control over the path they take and jobs they do in life, if you can't handle it/ don't like it then change it!!!!

I have not been home for either xmas or new year for the past 6 years because of the paths i have chosen, i am just thankfull that i have a job that affords me the lifestyle i have. >>

Nicely said, couldn't have put it better myself.

The downside to offshore/expat work is the occasional Xmas/New Year working pattern, but for me I can't see myself getting better pay and annual leave working somewhere onshore so I'll quite happily stick to offshore
