Grade A (bad report)

I?ve just bought an engine from them last week its came we fitted it was pretty good

One problem the head gasket had gone. Now I spoke to them yestday I adv situ they said

Andy not here he will have to make a decison on weather or not they will pay for head gasket.

(Pls note that this happen sat and Im being charge for the car being kept at my friend garage and for the work being

Carried out)

Spk to Andy today was not very helpful refused to pay for new gasket or any work being carried out he did how ever

Offer to send me a new engine which I declined on because he wants to take away engine I have and send me one

By next week which is no good to me as Im getting charge.

Now we all know if he takes engine away I have no guarantee that Im going to get another engine plus Im sure

He wants to see if Im telling the truth. But more to the point he might fix engine and sent it back to me with out

Doing the job correct by skimming the head and replacing oil stem seals etc.

Now he also states my mechanic was not doing my job correct stating that the head gasket were not gone I adv

Him that we did correct test. Now Andy only work on Subaru?s for 5 yrs he making out he know all well Im sorry

To say that someone who been in the trade for over 15 yrs plus know more.

He has now lost a customer plus friend of mine as well who have Scooby so my point Im saying is don't by a engine from this

Company.

I did here goods thing about this place but after this I won't be recommending him to anyone.

that was really hard to understand ! anyway i think you should take the new engine because he has offered you somthing, i think you mayb a bit unreasonable because he cannot guarantee everything is going to be 100% because all goods are second hand

i dont think you r mate could have been servicing scoobies 15 years ago since the scooby wasnt released until about 1993

i have used grade A twice, sent me out a import electric mirror switch. i had a fault with my alarm, this burnt out the new switch from grade A, i phoned them and told them what had happend, thay sent me another one in the post, and diddnt even charge me for the 2nd one. thanx guys and girls.

Can someone please post the phone number for Grade A. It sounds to me like a worthwhile addition to my phonebook for all of the little bits and pieces that are always such a bitch to find face-icon-small-smile.gif

After reading all the posts on here and scoobynet i really think you should send the engine back to grade a and let them replace it, grade a are highly regarded and doubt very much they would stitch you up, it's also probably better if you contact grade a themselves again rather than posting on the forums, hope you get this sorted soon.
