I wiped my number plates tonight but BY GOD ALMIGHTY - the car, if possible, is now twice as dirty as it was after the run on Sunday - I have NEVER had a car so dirty in all my life.

Almost tempted to write the old "If only my wife was this dirty" on the back

hi al heres reply from liason officer after my complaintesscoob,

how many people these days do what the Police ask ? - not many.

If a car drives in to your pride and joy and then fails to stop. Therfore you don't get its insurance details and because its number plate is obscured by dirt we are unable to trace it, would you be happy ? I think not.

Its not as trivial as you may think

how hard is it to keep a car clean in this weather?-very!

i clean my car every day at work i drive 9 miles home and u would think i have been rally driving with it! that guy didn't deserve a £30 fine!i think you's coppers should have a look at ur patrol cars from now on before you go out in them,comin from stirling last nite a idiot of a copper in a bmw traffic car pulled infont of me a tooted at him and flashed the lights he waved and and apoligised.his car was absolutly black through no fault of his own or is it?it's different wen it someone with a done up car aint it.
