Leak in the driver side wheel arch

My car (MY00 turbo) seems to be leaking what looks like engine oil in the wheel arch?? The engine bay is dry with no signs of any leakage, the only thing I can see is a black cylinder with "2nd Stage purge" on it near the air filter that has a pipe leading into the wing and was wondering if this could be the culprit? I thought it was a leaking shock but have checked that and it is fine, same goes for the brakes, no leaks at all. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
