baser999 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 My x-reg classic is due its 60k service before the end of the year - lucky theres no other expenses to meet this time of year lol The dealer gave me a warranty with it so should I take it in to a pukker dealer for the work and get the book stamped? If I went to a recommended specialist elsewhere and perhaps had the service done cheaper it might leave me with a few bob that I could put towards modifying the motor as its still bog standard at the moment. Is getting the book stamped essential or just good practice? Some of you have said xtremes will stamp the book so p'raps this is the way to go. As far as modifying goes whats the best way forward on a fairly tight budget
Dalthegooner Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Most decent garages will stamp the book for you. It doesn't need to be a main dealer although I'd take it to a garage with some experience in scoobies
Deano 666 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 hello baser, the 60k service is a big service, inc brake fluid changed and gearbox/diff oils changed aswell as the normal oil and filters/ spark plugs under the bonnet, i could also stamp your service book for you, no problem, i would drive up to you and carry out the service at your home or place of work. (pm me for a special price, or give me a ring-07950 953 824)
