Does your STi 9 knock/rattle whilst cornering?

Hello there, having a few problems with my STi9, I have a knocking noise coming from somewhere in the steering when I am cornering on uneven road surfaces, im just doing this poll to try find out how many people have had this problem before contacting Subaru UK. The cars been at the dealers 4 or 5 times with the top half of the steering column being replaced and the car being at the dealers for 3 weeks last time

steering column is smoked haddock by the sound of it.

speak to Billyboy and see what he suggests. he has squared this away with the dealership !!

ye bn in contact with him, he thaught it was the air bag, so mine was in for 3 weeks whilst I was at sea and now the knocking is worse

Just spoke to Billy there, his still not fixed either, getting a bit anoying

The dealer has also just rang back and is asking if he can have the car in AGAIN so sat as this subaru tech guy is coming in on Monday...again

sounds like a common problem sti9.you may have to live with it the now till subaru uk can find a fix.
