<< DJing ???

You mean there is another master turntablist in our midst??

Oh no cant be its blu bar LOL face-icon-small-tongue.gif

Craig >>

Have been Djing on and off for the past 8 years but its more of a hobby than anything else. Blu bar pays for my mods and records!! Blu is actually prettty good and is far from its old image as being an R&B bar. Have Dj'd in a few of Aberdeens clubs and did an IVY Club night in Dunnottar castle in August which was quite good too.

Its a wonder we dont know each other?!?!

I was resident at Lovechild in the Palace, The Works Belmont STreet and a regular at Joy.

Did a lot of gigs south as well Sub Club Glasgow, Club UK in Wolverhampton a few times before it closed down.

Ice Factory Perth, Waterfront Arbroath etc etc the list goes on.

The icing on the cake was Zap in Brighton it was AWESOME

But i bowed out about 6 years ago for health reasons !face-icon-small-wink.gif

I have been playing for near on 12 years in total and still have the old 1200's pride of place in one of the spare bedrooms/music room

Ivy eh Mr Grisham is still at it

Are you a cd mixer or a vinyl junkie like myself?

Impressive list mate!

The lovechild nights were a bit before my time although when I was growing up I always used to hear poeple talking about how good they were. Have you ever been to the new Palace...Liquid. Not good at all, good light and sound setup though!

I have only been "playing out" so to speak for the last year or so and it seems to be getting increasingly hard to get gigs in Aberdeen, as everywhere you go seems to play the same music, i.e. charty p!sh! I quite fancy going further afield such as Glasgow, Newcastle ect.

Yeah Mr Grisham is still at it. Amber D is his next one in the forum in a few weeks time. I usually go along and lend a hand at his events. Was at Eddie Halliewell a few weeks ago and Lisa Lashes before that.

I can understand the health thing!

I'm a vinyl man, its the only way. Although I have been tempted by the dark side as I've had a go on some CDJ1000's and was mighty impressed. The thought of only carrying a pouch full of CD's in comparison to two huge record boxes that weigh a ton does sound quite appealing and the fact that records are starting to take up too much room in my small flat. However there is a lot less skill involved in using CD's.

Are you still into that sort of music?

In to all sorts mate

But yeah you are right its all charty pish

The dance scene is nothing like it used to be it sux now

Cd mixing is too easy though there is no skill in that at all compared to the 12's

Hope to see you at the meet tomorrow me in a WRBlue 05 sti will arrive with Cal just after 7 give me a shout
