mark_rushforth Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 Hello peeps, what are your thoughts on fitting this induction kit to my 53 wagon. The previous owner said there were no problems whilst it was on the car. He took this off along with hks gt top mount intercooler & ggr sports-cat downpipe. I've heard reports on this site to steer clear of induction kits but the previous owner had the same kit fitted to his previous wagon which apparently has now covered 70,000 miles with no problems. He also mentioned that on older model cars they were fitted with hot film meters and that the new age cars are of the hot wire type. Any help most appreciated, cheers, Mark.
ANDYJDMSTI Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 i fitted the 80mm roger clarke induction kit and have had no problems. if it is the 76mm one then it should just be a case of connection it and off you go but if like mine it is the big 80mm one then you will need to get your maf re-scaled. Andy f did mine when i went for a tinkle with my map.
