Does anyone know how to run a manually ecu diagnostic?

Im having a miss fireing prob driving car normally?Ive change spark plugs had new coil packs 8 mths ago so any idea?

Its only happen when driving normally if i drive faster it goes away seem to be in every gear.The engine management light

does not come on been told to try manuel edc diagnostic.

I had a misfire on mine and it took me ages to cure it.

one oway to get around it can be to make the spark gap smaller.

what plugs are you using and what is the spec of your car? are you using the correct octane fuel? you can do a manuel ecu reset by unplugging the battery for 20mins then reconnecting it and going for a brisk drive.

have you changed the fuel filter and leads? Also are you running octane booster? this can sometimes coat the plug electrode with led and cause the spark to track down the plug .

Standard subaru from dealer.

1993 wrx k reg.I have taken the battery leeds of and tryed that didn't work.Ive been using shell 1997 and essco 1997 have been puting in 95 here and there as petrol a bit expense at momeent but ive been doing that for ages.

Ive have change the fuel filter couple of mth back and the leeds which are coil pack ive change 8 mths ago got them from subaru.

Ive had the spark plug change today made no different so im getting the coil pack tested tom they said it could be coil leeds or fuel injection plugs.

hello mate, you really should not put the low octane fuel into your jap wrx this can cause all sorts of problems, such as pre detination.(pinkin) or a misfire, also it will run lean (weak fuel/air mix) and this can pit your exhaust valves and eventually burn big holes through your pistons, so i would suggest to add a petrol injector cleaner to your fuel tank, then fill the tank with Esso ultra and run the car as normal. This may clean out a part blocked injector. best to start the cheapest way first. anyone can throw expensive parts at a car until it cures the problem. also barry, aka 'The Daddy', has a type RA ecu spare, if you need to eliminate the problem with yours.
