As topic heading.

I've got Eibachs on my car and had them since I bought it although it wasn't me that fitted them.

They rattle like hell on uneven surfaces and it's really getting on my thrupnies or at least I think it's my springs face-icon-small-shocked.gif

Any help would be really appreciated.

had my nearside rear strut replaced under warranty this week. seems to be a common fault with these cars.

when your driving at slow speeds you hear it knocking?

could be that.

It does knock a bit but when I got the car (22nd April this year) I took it to Nobles for it's 10K service. They said they had to replace the 2 front shocks, 1 rear shock and the front anti roll bar bushes so I would assume they hadn't gone already. I've only done 1500 miles since then.

What do you think Chris ???

I think the same as mine.

they fitted my new one during the week and it still knocks. I wonder what they have done??????????

they also tightened my dump valve for some obscure reason. Im going to go bush tomorrow

Think I'm going to have to pop along to Nobles at some point as it's really embarassing when your driving through a cobbled or bumpy street. My car looks pretty good (IMO) and it really p!sses me off when you get a cheap sounding rattle like that.

Keep me posted on what you find out and I'll let you know what I'm told.

Its been happening on my car for the last 40k miles (three year old Sti7) I have taken it to two different dealers ( S&S and nobles) and each time they replace the rear struts (I am on set 4 or 5 at the mo) and the noise goes away for a wee while but it comes abck with avengence. I now have a squeak to go with the rattle!!

Chris WTF would they tighten it? Was it nobles you went too?

had exact same problem as chris, problem now solved though, with the sti8s rear struts were a common problem, but a modified version was brought out, and when the warranty repair is done they use the new struts. I have had no problems with mine since fixed....

chris went to Halleys willie.....

if you are finding yours still a prob, could have a solution for u mate - Tein coilovers - its the way forward....face-icon-small-wink.gif

I'll keep that in mind but they cost quite a bit more than I intended on spending to repair the problem........£0.00 face-icon-small-wink.gif

Yup! Loads of speed bumps at my work which doesn't help the situation much either face-icon-small-sad.gif
