Gems daughter board: What is that????

Early PPP car used a gems daughter board that sat right over the ECU mother board and was spiced into it, fooling the car into providing more boost. Was regarded by some as a crude way , but nevertheless a very effective way of getting more power. These were fitted on early 02 cars only. Prodrive then went the EcuTech route with the very late 02 PPP kits and from 03 onwards that all you get.

Cal,

The cat is on the down pipe on the PPP kit. The first mid section has a small box and you use the standard second mid section (resonator box) as fitted when the car was new, with a Prodrive back box. In short you get 3 of the 4 sections when you fit PPP.

Sure am getting to the stage of selling bits and pieces; taking up room for the last 3 years now.

I'm confused - I thought PPP STi's had - straight thru' up-pipe, hi flow catted downpipe, straight thru section where another cat is ditched, and then the resonated section ( i.e 2nd silencer) before the BB

Anyway, I'll leave it just now and get a ninja jobbie me finks face-icon-small-smile.gif

For info AWD tried fitting the h-flow cat to my whip and the fit wasn't perfect

What you are saying is right Cal, expect the first stainless steel (SS) mid section right after the DP (working in gas flow direction) has a small silencer box in it and that replaces the standard fitment exhaust part that comes with a cat in it.

The PPP exhaust kit is a SS hi flow cat DP, SS first mid section and the SS backbox. You keep the second ?mild steel? mid section, which is the ?resonator? section. It doesn?t touch the up pipe, which on an Sti is a straight through pipe.
