TheGza Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Anyone used Ian Grieve (the Vauxhall dealer in Stirling who took over the Drive franchise in Falkirk) yet for servicing or warranty work? How did you get on? Just wondered what the set up was - do they have any Subaru technicians there or do the Vauxhall guys simply change overalls?
john_robertson Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 Rumour has it that there are three dedicated Subaru tech's all with experience from other subaru dealerships, from what I've heard one is very highly regarded with Prodrive experience Find out how good they are soon enough frigging rear shock sounds like its gone phoned them up and got booked for investigation. John.
TheGza Posted June 8, 2005 Author Posted June 8, 2005 Thanks for the info John. Sorry to hear of your suspension problem - would be interested in hearing how you get on with them! Was just a bit wary of them without knowing anyone who'd been there and how much experience the service side had of Scoobies. Cheers Chris
sma01 Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 John, common problem with the shocks on sti 8s i'm afraid, just got my nsr done on monday, they only replace 1 though, Gav had same problem with his and the other side went about 1,000 miles later. Have also heard very good reports about the 2 new mechanics there but never used them yet.
andy Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 20k service done there last Friday - £165. No complaints. Was impressed with the 05' 2.0GX wagon they gave me as a courtesy car. Was expecting something small and crappy.
