luke_clifton
do you let it warm up before moving dazz? i had my 1st complaint from neighbour the other day lol I do that, warm for 1 minute idle then drive under 2500-3000 until temps up and exhaust note changes. neighbours don't moan though. Even though most nights i come home about 2-4am lol. Link to comment
big rob
i normally let it run 4 5mins lol until tempgauge moves . i am good when i come home at stupid oclock i let the turbo run down in a layby so i dont upset the neighbours anymore than i do already lol Link to comment
Jolly Green Monster
personally I turn the key and drive off.. just then stay off boost until oil temp normal... sitting idling it takes longer to warm up and therefore stays in max wear mod for longest.. one scoob engine has done 198,000miles and still runs (well it would but I replaced it for bigger cc so it is currently in the workshop ) so I don't think there is a need to annoy the neighbours letting it idle.. just do a few throttle blips when you get home late instead Link to comment
luke_clifton
Yeh i heard it can cause some harm if you leave it to warm up stationary for too long, not to mention that you can heat the engine, but the transmission is still cold. I just let my turbo timer run down a minute before moving, then drive as smooth and slow as possible. Tbh i turn my engine straight off most of the time, as i rarely go into + boost. Link to comment
big rob
if i dont do it now tho my neighbour will think im doing it for his benefit Link to comment

leebo77
Yesterday Mrs Lee spotted a blue newage wagon going along the Orpington bypass while we were in the carpark of Homebase. Followed it in the traffic a little way and watched it have a little 'play' off the lights with a cheeky monkey trying to go straight on in a right only lane. Good on yer! Link to comment
