yea every night researching mate, my mrs swears im married to it.

But iv had a result my mate has some cobra monarco pro seats with 4 point harness to borrow till he finishes his car (which will be no time soon) just need to order some mounts.

JD the front seats are silly especially drivers seat, people think taking out the back seats lose weight, they weight next to nothing! its the fronts!

Thought i was on a hill climb up porlock hill ;)

450all day long its done alot on sti internals, iv heard of people doing just over 500 but i wouldnt wana push it that far, after 450 ish u probably wana start looking at 2.1 stroker with a closed deck block just for piece of mind, iv debated it but do i really need to go past 450? id be looking at getting a bigger turbo/injectors/fmic/cone filter and remap il be hitting around 450. Couple 400/450bhp with weight loss and your on a winner. better mpg/tyre and brake wear/handling. And its cheap as chips and you can ebay some of what you ditch. I ditched my spare wheel and tools on sunday and noticed a massive difference plus the fact i was running v power with an octane booster. getting race seats alone probably save u 10-15+kg each seat then ditch spare wheel, air con, rear seats your looking at maybe 60+kg loss? running with things like half full washer bottle and i/c spray. Relocating the battery for a smaller lighter one and boosh youve just ditched 70+kg probably more out of your car in a day. and spent maybe 400/500 quid on the seats. winner

think i got a bit carried away then :) i felt something twitch

You twitch away mate , its write ups like that that keeps us all informed .

And I now consider myself told ...

Good luck with the weight loss ...

Surely it is torque and a good suspension setup you need. BHP ok at top end and power/torque great in a straight line but best drivers do not always have top power ratings. Get on a test track and get taught how to drive the car, get your suspension sorted out properly, ensure your brakes are good, lose the excess weight if you need to and then look at going for the big power. There is so much you can do just by sorting the suspension out and learning how to drive your car :)
