monsterenergy Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Nae strictly a Subaru question - but hoping some of you guys can help. I bought a 2nd hand car just over a week ago - and a couple of days ago the brakes started making a grinding noise. Could this be a case of really bad luck on wear and tear, or could the garage have done something to make the brakes seem ok short term? I was driving and braking ok during my test drive. The car has brembo's and I'm imagining it's gonna need new pads all round, that winnae be cheap - hopefully not new discs too. Or am I just a big cynic? Thanks
jef Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 a severe grinding noise when you press the stop pedal usually relates to metal to metal contact ie pads worn right down best bet is whip front wheels off for a good look mate
