Nice car chief... but DO do your homework!

The P1 front end shouldn't be a problem but if you're upping the power (and Insurance...) you'd be better saving up for an STI by the time you upgrade the car sufficiently to handle the extra grunt.

That's not to say 1.6's can't shift... as the Tayside Meet recently found out *lol*

yell need the bonnet scoop if ye go for a turbo unless yer thinkin of fitin a fmic. itd prob cost ye a few gees for the engine , driveshafts and shit and then fittin aswell. u could pick up a decent classicfor the same price without the hassle :)

hiya mate, nice spoiler and nice motor - 1.6's can shift, ask anyone who saw the fastone in his 'shed'!

if you are wanting to go down the bigger engine route then as others have said, buying a turbo and making it look like a sport would be much cheaper in the long run and still give you the sleeper look ;)

Welcome bud , but in all honesty if it was me and i was in your shoes keep the car as it is and sell it on. And buy an STI will save lots of headaches im just talking from experience lol dont let me put you off just trying to save your pennies..
