keypad in the glovebox?

this prob sounds realy stupid to you guys but i have just noticed a small keypad in the top righthand side of my glove box do they all have this if so wots it for???

its to override your alarm incase your battery on fob runs out that way your car will still go if you have the code

it is also used to change your alarm settings after you enter your code

if you dont have the code you can get it from your local subaru dealer

yep kev that as well in the classics, also some of the shop auto doors jam the key fob signal

i dont have a clue wot the code is i will have to find out!!! im not even sure if its the standard alarm system im using on the the car it says toad on the alarm fob??

theres 2 lights on the keypad none of them seem too come on at any time??

toad is an aftermarket alarm im sure, if it is the key pad will be redundant
