boab type ra Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 goin to tune the ra so far am planning on a gt2 fmic from harvy, 550 injectors, walbro fuel pump, rcm headers with ventury up pipe, 3" straight through system butdon`t know wether to keep the td05 or get a vf35 can anyone help.
paul555sti Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Keep the tdo5 and just get it mapped! There isnt a great deal between to the two turbos so save your cash for something else!
nightmare Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) save your pennies on the headers and buy a harvey uppipe and just get yours ported your headers are good for way above 350 Edited February 13, 2011 by nightmare
boab type ra Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 av got a set of japspeed headers but the welds are splitting just fancied new 1s. whomdoes porting?
boab type ra Posted February 13, 2011 Author Posted February 13, 2011 superb thanks for the info goin to get the fmic from harvy so i will get him to to do the headers too thanks
johnnyr6 Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Why not get Andy F to convert your td05 to 20G? It depends on what you want from the car, the 20g is a bit more laggy but still not bad and its good for up to 400bhp if you want a bit more in the future. Johnny
nightmare Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 duncan at hypertech can do them for you and wrap them

Johnny just lookin at the mid 300 the now but now you mension it the 20g sounds good
arch Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 20G is an awesome turbo on a road car although you will be entering the upper limits of your gearbox. I personally would not go the ported standard headers route you will regret not fitting a decent set of tubular headers if you do.

johnnyr6 Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 That box will struggle with anymore than 350bhp, if you treat it hard it may not even cope with that. Johnny.
