2001 classic impreza sti wagon

Hi just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem as soon as i hit around 1.2 bar the car starts to judder and there is a loud hissing noise like someone letting air out of a tyre.Any ideas tryed all the common faults with no success

I had an overboost problem that only happened at full boost, there was a crack in the induction hose to the turbo, you couldn't see it it only opened at full boost caused overboost and a massive knock spike.

Duncan at Hypertech only found it using a smoke test under pressure.

Might help to list what you have tried to score them of the list.

Thanks i have changed all the pipe work mate but will check it again. :thumbup:

you running a dump valve sound like a dumper that can`t hold the pressure or poss actuator or wastegate prob.

i have a new turbosmart dv and also changed the actuator for a hks upgrade checked all pipework and replaced it at the same time.

could your dumpvalve not be setup right take it you can screw it in to stiffen it up maybe its to soft the now? and not holding the boost?
