sinny Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Have to say couldnt meet a nicer guy, after quick a few runs down the A1 tweaking here and there we finally came to the dyno runs and the car is now producing:- 352bhp and 392LbFt Well impressed with the results, the difference in torque mid range is amazing, its like driving a totally different car. Cant praise Andy enough for how he has transformed my car, thnx m8. Now the bit of bad news my front O2 sensor is playing up, sometimes reading accurately then going offscale over fueling when it doesnt need it , I had the front O2 sensor changed under warranty in january so will go have a word with them at ian grieves. Now I think I will go for another drive Stevie
RA Dunk Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Excellent results, I paid him a visit last week and left a happy man as well

What made you replace the up-pipe, out of curiosity? I didn't think the STI had a cat in there? Does your centre section delete the lower cat, or the 'resonator' section, or both? Do you reckon the ProDrive back box is much less restrictive than standard, or were you just after a bit more burble? Hope you don't mind aw the questions, just trying to work out what's required if/when I get around to this 392lb/ft sounds like a wh*re of a lot torquies from the standard turbo, BTW!
bobbyc Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) Nice one enjoy it, I can see a big v-power bill at the end of the week after "i'm just going out for another wee run be back soon" lol Edited August 18, 2010 by bobbyc

Yeah you are right the uppie is catless on the sti, however about 6 months ago the pipe split at the flexi looking bit near the top and wasnt sure back then where I was going with the mods so got it welded up for the time being, just seemed like a perfect time to replace it along with the downpipe incase welds failed later on or something, The meercat downpipe removes first and second cat sections and joins straight onto centre section with resonator and then the backbox, unfortunately I cant comment on the difference between the pro drive back box and standard as I got the car with it on it and liked the burble you get from it so decided to leave it in place. Hope I have answered what you needed m8. cheers
