Wayne Longhurst Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Hi All, Can some one please give me some advise? I had an accident at the beginning of the week, went round a corner and the back end stepped out the rear driver side wheel ended up hitting the curb and bending the hub and the torsion bar have had both repaired but the steering still doesn’t feel right. Feels like something is loose or a little light, also the new hub needs a new wheel bearing not sure if this would have anything to do with it - It’s an 06 WRX Any Help appreciated!! Wayne
sti pretender Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Have you had a geometry setup done since the bump?
Wayne Longhurst Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 No nothing like that ive taken it back to a garage and all they have done is bent the bar back and replaced the hub. Ive not heard of that before, what does it involve? Thanks Wayne
tomwrx08 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 this happend to me mate in the bad weather, but was rear passenger side, the wheel didnt sit correctly, was the hub carrier that was bent,so new hub, bearing and geo and its been perfect since
rig-pig Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 you will need a geometry set up not just wheel alignment
sti pretender Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Geometry setup will look at you camber, caster and toe on the front and camber and toe on the rear, instead of just tracking the front like most garages. You looking for somewhere that does 4 wheel alignment, get a fast road setting put on the car and you will be amazed at the handling, avoid the prodrive settings as have found they burn tyres. Hope this helps.
