When I changed my rear disks & Pads I didn't really have to touch the handbrake, just jacked up the car removed the wheel, Calliper & pad carrier. Released the handbrake & then popped off the disk by winding in a couple M6 (I think) bolts into the holes in the disk bell & off it popped.

Some people did mention that I may have to back off the adjuster (On the back of the hub) in order to remove the disk, but mine came off without issue.

Swapped all my pads out today, would have taken me about 1/2 hour if it wasn't for a seized slider bolt on a rear brake.

Cheers Andy, hopefully all I'll have to do is back the adjuster off a bit to get the disc off. Didn't fancy paying for someone else to do what is an easy DIY job lol

Easy is an understatement if you don't have anything seized.

I took the plunge when garages were quoting me at least 2 Hrs for the disk & pad swap
