Subaru Customer Care!

Is non existant!

When i purchased my hatch back in 2008 i purchased a set of Lusteric 18" wheels at a cost of £1700.Seven months later they corroded on almost every part of the wheels.Replaced under warranty no questions asked.

Last Sunday i went to take them off and give them a good clean and polish and you guessed it all four corroded round the centre caps.

Ive contacted trading standards and asked for a full refund in writing.

Subaru's answer "no you can have another set of wheels".I dont see why i should take another set of wheels which are obviously sub-standard and will corrode again.

So be warned apart from building cars that blow -up have faulty alarms etc etc.Subaru like most car makers dont give a stuff after they have got your money.

I PREDICT A RIOT OVER THIS ONE.

Not good!!!

Hope you get it sorted quickly

Thing is, once the car is out of warranty will they keep replacing the wheels every 8 months or so....I dont think so

That's a bit cr*p.

My wife got her wheels replaced on her grand vitara for the same reason but they're nearly as bad again, out of warranty now though.

And a friend of mine went through 4 sets on a lexus he had, something to do with a lack of protective coating to the inside of the rims.

Hope you get it all sorted.

New set on the Merc last year just noticed on Sunday they've started to corrode again, still under warranty so fingers crossed.

Best alloys I've had are the ones on the newage over 3 years before they showed signs of bubbling and even now aren't that bad.

Had a full set of alloys changed at verve wishaw when we had the golf, was like getting blood from a stone but got there in the end.

I can have another set of wheels if i want them. But why should i take a third set which will corrode again?
