Z4 M Roadster ;)

Picked her up on thursday and done a few hundred miles so far, awesome to drive. A real handful and pretty lethal when you turn the traction control off! 340 bhp and a fantastic soundtrack too, very happy!

Would love a Z4M Coupe... a lot like the one that the guy who recently posted up here about changing for an Impreza had?? Imola Red with CSL 19s........ BIG fan. :D

The Roadster is a little camp, but it'll be easier to hear the engine with the roof down and nothing beats going for a blast with the wind whipping past, the sun beating down on you and a huge blue sky above you. :)

Cheers,

Grant

Z4 M Roadster, 340 BHP, 0-60 - 4.8 sec, 231bhp/ton.

New Impreza STI, 296 BHP, 0-60 - 5.1sec, 200bhp/ton.

Slag me off all you want! The summers coming and I know where I'd rather be. After owning 5 Impreza's since 1999 I know exactly what they are like and its great being in something that is qaulity for a change. An interior that is on a completely different planet to any Impreza including the latest Hot hatch STI.

One of the worlds best engines linked to a proper drivers chassis too.

I dont like where Subaru have gone, deserted their legions of fans and brought out a fat turd of a car that needs remapped and new suspension to make it remotely interesting to drive, yes I have done quite a few miles in one.

Also the reaction I have got in the BMW from friends/passers by and especially women has been amazing, I had 3 female friends appear at mine over the weekend wanting me to take them for a drive! unlike the Subaru where it was totally opposite apart from the 'nice car mister' from shellsuited wasters.

I know the Z4 is a bit of a marmite car but I'll have fun over the summer then chop it in for a 911 or M3 CSL :)

I swore when I started writing this post I WOULDN'T do this, but I hope you'll forgive me adding an extra statistic or two to the following:

Z4 M Roadster, 340 BHP, 0-60 - 4.8 sec, 231bhp/ton.

New Impreza STI, 296 BHP, 0-60 - 5.1sec, 200bhp/ton.

Z4 M Roadster, Price new £43,000, £127/bhp

New Impreza STI, Price new £27,000, £92/bhp

Slag me off all you want!

No.

1 It generates a whole lot of ill feeling and that's NOT why I joined this club or forum.

2 It won't change anything and we're ALL entitled to our own opinions. I'm willing to respect yours and genuinely hope that's reciprocal.

3 I believe the "slagging" so far is merely harmless banter which - if it's caused the degree of offence it seems to have done - that CERTAINLY wasn't the intention. I'm REALLY trying hard to assume your intentions are similar in respect of the STI hatch

4 By you own admission...

Also the reaction I have got in the BMW from friends/passers by and especially women has been amazing, I had 3 female friends appear at mine over the weekend wanting me to take them for a drive! unlike the Subaru where it was totally opposite apart from the 'nice car mister' from shellsuited wasters.
... you accept that both marques have certain stigma attached to them which we DON'T necessarily have to conform to but STILL have to live with, HENCE said banter. I'm glad you're happier with your new car's image... and I'll stick with my shellsuit, thanks! *lol*

5 We've ALREADY digressed FAR and away off-topic, so let's try and get back to it.

6 The invitation remains SINCERELY open for you to join in the run on Sunday with Beemer, Scoob or WHATEVER.

Good grief! What an essay!

Touche' :)

Not offence taken, the Hatch is a very capable car i'm sure and everybody has their own tastes, its just unfortunate I dont like the new model as I have been Subaru through and through for 10 years.

I'm off to work in Italy on friday so wont make the meet, have a good one and drive safely!
