Spaceman Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 yes its happened before with classics there was a few 98 model sti from the rising sun land registered on 51 and 02 plates take a look on scoobynet its just down to how the DVLA have registered it when it came i think some car that didn`t have corredt documents showing when they were first registered were given the current reg instead of the original year. you will prob find the car came into country same time as a 52 plate was out. hope that makes sense

paul555sti Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I used to see a MK1 Golf passing through Kincardine that was a G plate
sti_steve Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I've PM'd the guy about the car as i'm on the hunt for one. I forgot to question the 52 plate...It must be illegal as you can make your car look older than it is?
Spaceman Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Its not illegal the DVLA won`t have the original date of build so will have put it through as 52 plate so in there eyes thats the first year registered, its not bout making your car newer rather than hiding when first registered.
