Thoughts On This...

Got someone asking me about about buying a 2000 UK turbo.... Dont know what kind of distance She is looking at, but does anyone know any decent ones that are for sale just now?

She did ask me about one that she Saw on Pistonheeds, http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1038819.htm Does anyone know this one? I thought that I recognised it, but then, I'm a bugger for thinking that I recognise a car... speshully when they are all the same mostly...

Had my thoughts about this one anyway, Sounds like He's keen, even to the point that He'll Drive to Aberdeen for a look at it... Now that is keen...

Looking at it, theres a few things that I'm unsure about, and dont just want to fire off saying that theres something wrong with it, not like I've been wrong before though eh?

main thing that I wasn't sure about, was that with the mods its got fitted, should it not have had a remap? Full Decat, Dumpvalve, fuel pump, do you need to be looking at a remap for those mods, obviously, I've not done them myself, so I don't have first-hand knowledge of them...

Also, see that He's done the ARBs front and rear, but he's not really clear about which ones he's fitted...

Any thoughts?

Dale i ran my UK Turbo with a full decat dump valve and up rated fuel pump for long enough without a remap, from what i understand the UK Turbo`s are safe enough to do this unlike the Jap imports

The way I read that ad, is that it only has whiteline drop links?? Could be wrong though?

Seems ok I guess, hard to tell unless you see it in the flesh

i know what you mean Dale,does look familiar-think it reminds me of rs grants old car??

uk cars can take running on full decat without a remap but it6s obviously benifcial to power and economy to get it ecutekd

only thing that strikes me is new engine and gearbox could suggest a hard life? maybe worth asking grant or andy at awd about it

Cheers chap, thats another to look at, and yeah, I think that you might be right about the drop links, I think that I read it wrong... thats pretty badly written...
