phil Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Well what do I say We have non members moaning about ad's well with respect there are two ways to avoid them Join or don't use the forum! I would personally not wish anybody to leave but its quite simple really the google ad's were only switched off for a short while whilst the security issue was resolved If a member has an issue with them please feel free to either raise it in the members area or via email to the committee@sidc.co.uk My support for the club is in time and energy last weekend depart from Home 4.30 to collect Unit arrive home on the back of an AA truck 01.00 the following day Priceless of course IMHO
Guest admin Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Out of interest, this SIDC admin just visited Scabbynet for the first time in about 6 months and the first time since the new owners took over. Not only is the site MUCH slower than it was previously due to them moving it stateside to cut costs, but this admin counted no less than FOURTEEN Adverts on their main Forum Index. On the SIDC website, everybody - members or non-members have to have the banner adverts at the top as they are paying sponsors. Nobody complains as they're relevant and of interest to a lot of people. The other banners which non-members see amount to three adverts per page. Add on the sponsors banner and that makes four Ads in Total - TEN less than the equivalent page on ScabbyNet. Where would you rather spend your time?

As far as not being a member of SIDC, I still show my SIDC stickers on the car and I still enjoy being part of the community and both nationwide and locally even if some of you dislike me which I cant really blame you as am a right pain in the
