Scooby Hoo? Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Hi Guy's. Fitted a set of Perrin Combi Gauges (Boost/Exhaust Temp), the easy bit , I now need someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to soldering onto the wiring loom. Is there anyone in the Club?
granby Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Do you know where the wires go as soldering is easy or do you need someone to find where they go
Scooby Hoo? Instructions tell me which wires go where but I have no idea which colour wires they are on the loom. I can wire a house but I draw the line at cars.

I posted the wiring diagram on SN a while back http://bbs.scoobynet.com/ice-2/298540-ice-...-posting-2.html It doesnt have the headlight tap though? I used to just have mine on all the time via the ignition tap and not switched via the headlights

col_2 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 (edited) Thanks for the HELP guy's think Ian is coming to the rescue.Have to pick up on the headlight loom as the gauge lights change colour at night. hi hugh if its any help, its a matter of choice if you have them Illuminate when you have lights on or off, mine Illuminate when lights are on, you can go from any Illumination wires if you want them to light up when lights are on, ( clock, stereo, cig lighter, side light, or dash light etc ) also if you have more than one pod, i had 3, all i did was looped the 3 pods wires togeather, so i only had to wire it up as if i was fitting one pod if that makes sence. also if you have a dimmer switch fitted in your car, you can go to that so you can dim pods down at night if too bright...... also on the matter of wires if anyone is fitting a flamer kit in the future, my tip is? wire it to the rear de-mister wires, which are located near the boot. advantages 1, you dont have to fit a switch 2, you dont have wires going to dash or through the car 3, it only works with the de-mister switch on 4, if you forget to turn it off, dont worry its on a timer 5, its easy to fit. & the best way to hot wire a car is oooppppssssss going back to my chav days sorry Edited May 24, 2009 by col_2
