Hi all, the vectra needs the aircon needs regassing. The stealers want £95 to do it. Does anyone know anywhere better/cheaper?

give dunc at hypertech a shout mate, got him to do mine a while back and dont think it was anywhere near as steep as that....

spoke to dunc today mate, £35 for aircon recharge on vectra, bit of a saving from the stealer...

buy the gas from halfords and do it yourself!! think the big can cost me £40 and has wee gauge to tell you if it ok or not!! plus should have some left incase you need to do another car or the vectra again next year, well worht the cash and very easy to do took me bout 15 mins to do my scooby from empty

Am a Refrigeration and air-conditioning engineer is what i do for a living. If you get caught putting refrigerant (gas) into a system knowly, knowing its leaking then your comitting an offence which has a penelty of £25,000 fine or 3 years in the nick.

The system is a sealed unit and doesnt just need to be filled up every year. If you get a company to do the work then ur not liable for the penalty but if you put the system in yourself then you are.

Am not being a plumb or a fanny just thought id let you know
