Wagon_Mark Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Just lookin for some advice about my 06 WRX. Noticed the last week or so at low speeds and bumpy roads there is a noticeable clunk from the bacvk left of the car. I emptyd the boot today of everything including the jack just incase, but im still hearing it. any ideas what this could be or if its a common fault? Is this a chance for me to get some new uprated goodies? Ive seen alot about bushes, drop links, geometry set ups but tbh i dont kno anything about the suspension set ups. Any chances of a wee explanation of this stuff and what would be a good list of things to do for a noticeable difference, without having to change the shocks? Cheers guys

Wagon_Mark Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 So theyre gubbed n i need new rear shocks, or replace with allround coilovers?
neilswrx Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 got the same problem (front thats banging badly)on mine sti uk 06 changed one of the front drop links cannot get the other off as nuts are spinning no idea how to get the second drop link off, but not looking forward to replacing the shocks on the car as money is tight.not impressed with the standard suspension seems a very common fault with these shocks
Wagon_Mark Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 Tight here too. Wasnt looking to be spending that kind of money just now, im more than happy with it stock. Allthough at high speed on the bends, it is a bit twitchy which i dont like at all. Would a set of Tein superstreets be the answer to both problems? Not cheap at 735quid delivered though, then fitting... My warrrenty expired only weeks ago
