Hey guys not been on here for a while looking for some advice.

Thinking bout trading in my 2002 sti 72k miles tuned by andy forrest to 340 BHP, full main dealer history e.t.c for a 2001 p1 #987/1000 55k imaculate both inside and out, 18" oz wheels and wilwood brake upgrade.

Stuggling to get a decent valuation for the p1 but its gonna cost me £3750 to change, is this worth it??

Cheers in advance

You better start saving for a gearbox for the P1 or any classic that is running more than it should...LOL

Atleast with your current car it has a really really gearbox that you are used too.

P1 is standard and will be staying that way, no it has not had a rebuild but whats the chance i would be looking at one in the near future. It also has a full dealer service history. Gonna pass if its likey to cost me a heap of money tho

from what i remember with my mates getting their p1s, i think the engines were prone to letting go about the 40k mile mark, although may have been down to folk fitting exhaust without a remap.... if you can get a mint condition p1 it would def be worth buying, i would have 1 in a flash...if it is standard and you want to make sure it is safe then why not buy it and pick up another ecu(eg apexi) and get andy f to map it, that way you got the car you want and the peace of mind of a safe map??
