Ecu's?

As some might know, im starting to look into tweeking the beast to 350ishbhp. In order to do that have been told that my ecu is un-mappable, looked into new ecu's but could i not just buy a later version ecu as I believe they can be chiped/remapped there are a few on the bay for £40-80 is it worth it?

Any help would be apreciated

Depends on what year your car is...

93-96 4 plug ecu

97-98 3 plug ecu

99 on ecutek and thase change again (but not sure when)

Which ECU are you after?

Probably best to contact JGM on here...

dont belive you can unless you get a loom adapter made maybe

im sure i read that you can map your ecu but not an easy job (i think) ask simon jgm

a mapper on another site posted can be done if you know how (dont quote me on that )

i would imagine its more viable to buy a new ecu than the above ifits poss

Mines a '97 registered oct 97, not sure on build date though

Go for a Apexi Ecu, good price on ebay.

Go for a apexi ecu from JGM, he will fit, and map it for you.

seen a few of so call chipped car.. fuel cut defender and a bleed valve.. not good..

as said the apexi powerfc is check to buy on ebay etc
