jimmy_wrxsti Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Not sure if anyone on here may be interested but a few mates and myself are planning a run in the summer. Posted this on a few local forums to see if anyone outside our party wants to tag along. Plan is to leave Aberystwyth one Saturday morning - along a well planned designated router along some of the best roads around Snowdon. The route will end up in North Wales and lasts for approx 6hrs in total. There will be arranged stopping points at some scenic points for photo oppurtunities etc. Plan is to either camp at designated campsite or people can arrange own accommodation or even head home in the evening. Bear in mind it will be leaving from Aberystwyth if interested so for people down south it would involve some planning to make sure you are in Aber for the morning it sets off. Organisers behind it arranged a similar event in 2006 that went from Aber to Land's End with various checkpoints on the way. This time its not intended to be a race but a run taking in some of the best roads available. Im told that the plan is to include the Evo triangle as well as best bits of Snowdonia. Open to any cars/bikes - initially it seems there is no cost involved apart from petrol and any accommodation you require although there may be a fee if you want to book campsite etc in advance. Feel free to join the forum created for the event - this will be updated with all the latest info on the route and used to gauge ideas on the whole thing.
