martyg Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Mornin, Well went out to de snow scoob this morning car started first time and alarm etc worked fine 10 min warmed car up de snowed iced etc all ok then switched it off to go inside and fetch mrs and dog. went to set alarm on car and it would not set so in my faffing around pressing fob button immobiliser came back on automaticly. so now i have scoob with immobiliser stuck on and alarm i cant arm disarm etc. I have changed fob battery and disconnect main car battery to try and reset etc but all to no avail. Just rather annoying as worked perfect first time this morning when car covered in snow and started first turn of key then switch off and dead. I am assuming it maybe some water/snow melt crept into summat and upset it but i never ever had problems before with i. Shall try again later see if it drys out before i call someone out or any of you clever folk got a good idea. alarm is a cobra after market cat 1 with immobiliser. thanks martin
scooby princess Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Personally i would wait for a while to allow any water that may have got in it to dry out. Also with our alarm if you unlock and lock 2/3 times in quick sussesion then it does'nt like it as it thinks someone is trying to break in!
martyg Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 well all fixed amazing what can happen when your get your instruction manual out for alarm!! reprogrammed fob to car and all working again happy now!!
stinger Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 tis true i think instruction manuals for alarms are about the only ones worth keeping.
