EVENING,

Have a little question for the techy people.

Iv just ordered a nice new swirl pot with the treaded connections but the 2 connections from the fuel sender have the push on connectors. Does any 1 know if these can be modified to take female threaded conector's

Ie cut the thicker bit from the end of the pipe then a female connector then flared out for the female connector to fit/seal.

Same sort of style as cusco kid

Here is mine

I suppose that would work, however be careful flairing the pipe I seem to recall someone having a disaster after doing a similar mod.

If you go to the website www.22b.com and do a search there is plenty of info and ideas on the technical pages there, you can get answers to most questions by simply reading old threads, the information is top drawer.

Are you going to use the walbro to lift to the swirlpot and then another pump(s) to feed from there?

I also thought about swagging a small peice of refrigeration copper (which has a thicker wall have can handle more pressure) and then brazing it on. Then form a factory flare so that its a perfect fit/size. Then get a 8mm straight coupling with a copper ring then hey presto that should hold more than enought pressure for the fuel system to run.

Wilky. Yes am going to use the walbro pump to pump from the tank to swirl pot then a external pump + filter to feed from there. which should be more than enought hopfully

I can never get on to www.22b.com it just doenst want to let me on at all. :driving:

Dont like the idea of a compression fittiing on s fuel system :rotfl: think id alsways be a bit worried :rotfl:

my system wont be high pressure //low pressure to swirl pot /// s /pot to h/pressure pump forward to fuel rails //rtn to s/pot //excess to tank

dont like the idea of walbro feeding s/pot unregulated(pressure) ,that means you have 2 pumps working against each other ihmo geo

The walbro wil be taken out i think has a wee chat wi steve at sw motorsport. Think il go for standard pump to switl pot then swirl pot to bosch 044 pump to fuel rails. See how that works out.

Was also unsure about running braided out through the car with the smell of petrol through the rubber hoses. is this true????

Yep - if your going to run the hoses through the inside of the car........................................... Get the hose with the Teflon inner.
