scooby princess Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 It is with a very heavy heart and deep regret that it has been decided that due to insufficent interest in this event there will not be a S.I.D.C stand at this years South West Motor Show. We would like to thank those who have shown an interest in the show and We will be returning cheques through the post to those who have supplied them. Jacqui and Ed

kevlorn Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 cant believe that sidc cant get enough enthusiasts to attend this one..its the best show in the westcountry every year........even the scooby owners down here arn't interested......i ask WHY NOT???? its on your doorstep...!!!!
Terry Butcher Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 cant believe that sidc cant get enough enthusiasts to attend this one..its the best show in the westcountry every year........even the scooby owners down here arn't interested......i ask WHY NOT???? its on your doorstep...!!!! I found it boring last year and with all kinds of outgoings of cash at the moment I find it almost impossible to justify doing a car show. Although the SIDC stand was friendly enough last year (as always! ) I did find the "chavs" and their "chav mobiles" a bit much. I have enough of them at work and their antics around Torbay without having to spend time socialising near them. I did try several shows last year but having done the bigs one up at Peterborough over the years I find these a little dissapointing. The exception for me was the McRae Gathering and that was epic! I do hope that it survives though, for those who enjoy it and especialy the organisers.............. I know how hard it is to organise these things and have given up trying down here. Too many complaints of nothing going on and then the same folks put their names down but "forget" to attend. So I will just turn up unannounced to most things in future as I will probably only know if I can afford to go at the last minute. Sorrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
kheldar Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Have fun those of you who are going. I'm sure George will have put a lot of effort into making it a good show/day for you all. As for me, i'll be doing something with my parents, sister (husband + baby), my wife and baby boy as its Father's Day.
