Right folks,

As most of you may be aware, I am selling my scooby. I understand that due to the credit crunch and all that jazz, that this is possibly not the best time to be selling my pride and joy. So, that bourne in mind, I have an idea.

My idea,

I am looking for a price in the region of £3000. This, when devided by 15, equals 200.

So, I am thinking of raffling my car. £15 a ticket, 200 tickets, one lucky swine that gets my scoob for £15.

Obviously there are rules etc, such as I would not hold the raffle until I had enough to cover a price I was happy with and I would hold the draw, if it went ahead, under some sort of adjudication.

What I need is some ideas, Is this a good idea? I think it is quite a good plan, given the current financial climate. Just need to know if I could get 200 tickets shifted.

Ideas?

Great idea mate, im sure you will be able to sell 200 tickets if you advertise this raffle in alot of places!

If it goes well you will have to let me know as im trying to sell mine aswell! Good luck

Impressive idea if it works out ! Think you'd have a good number of people interested, whether 200 who knows, and I guess that's where the problem might lie is if you don't get to the 200 people.

This has been asked on snet before i think good idea they all said wasn`t legal,

i say go for it id buy a couple tickets worth it better than playing the lottery

for the draw you could do it on webcam and give the adddress to the site to the ticket buyers then they can watch and see its fair Greig

Seen a thing on the TV where a couple had decided that they would flog their house this way.

Basically you need to ask a few questions to make it a valid "competition" and not an "illegal lottery" IYKWIM. I think the difficult-ness of the questions also has a bearing on whether it gets the green light or not as well.

Not quite sure how that differs from buying raffle tickets 'cos AFAIK no-one ever asked me to answer a question anytime I bought one.
