cullenmin Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Ive had my bonnet pop up on a spitited drive. Sprayed some WD40 into the catch and it cleared out some grime in there, problem solved.

myles Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Happened to me as well. Overtook something slow with an old bint driving, bonnet popped and I had to pull over onto the hard shoulder, about 1 min later she overtakes me at about 50 mph, giving me 'the look'
dale1980 Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 yep scary stuff, was thinkin aboot some bonnet pins so it would never happen again.
scoobymark Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 mines done the same when Andy F didn'y close it right just before we set off to map the car, both us got a wee fright when we were on the A1 and done the 1st run up through the gears :waving-santa:
dale1980 Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 i reckon if the bonnet did come right up it could prove quite costly, maybe the bonnet clips would be good
