Hi all its that time again, service on the old girl is due, but want the best for her. Its a UK 98 2000 AWD, it currently has a RAM AIR panel filter on but its been there since forever and its black (should be red) and cant source any cleaning fluid for it so i thought to hell with it I will treat her 2 a new one, any input would be great, also whats the best oil and oil filter to use, its only standard as far as i know as there are no recipts for any modifications. Dont know if that makes a difference on what oil 2 use B)

Many thanks Shep

I've got a Green panel filter in mine which and you can get the cleaning kits from Halfords, as for oil filter then most people use the standard Subaru filter and for oil i use Silkolene PRO S 10W-50 full synthetic CLICKY worth signing up to the Opie oils website as they do quite a few deals B)

For air filters either, sti panel, green panel filter or apexi panel filter. Like Granby said most use the standard one as it is cheap as chips (about £5 notes from the dealer). As for oil either 5w-40 or 10w-50 is what people have been telling me what to use.

Use a Green panel filter just like Granby.

Standard Subaru oil filter.(changed every 4500)

Valvoline VR1 Racing Oil (changed every 4500) TDI Thurrock carry it in stock.

I use VR1 because it's able to cope with high temperatures and has extra zinc in for ware protection.
