Bailey73 Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 dudes!your avatar moves in time with faithless 'i can't get no sleep' bailey so now it's '09 then i have to think about my current brake situation new front prodrive discs and pads for 800 notes is going to hurt, anyone think of any other options? Ian Godney Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 dudes!your avatar moves in time with faithless 'i can't get no sleep' bailey so now it's '09 then i have to think about my current brake situation new front prodrive discs and pads for 800 notes is going to hurt, anyone think of any other options? I can supply you 2 piece discs and bells and Ferodo DS2500 pads delivered overnight for £525 , these come with a 12 month guarantee against warping even of you do track days , when these wear down you re-use the bells and only need to change the rotors , which are £295 a pair including a set of nuts and bolts Cheers Ian
jd Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 normal brake discs are one piece, howvere performance discs are 2 piece. the section that fits to the hub is the bell and the "disc" is called a rotor, then if you need new "discs" in the future, you only need purchase new rotors to fitthe existing bell.
jd Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) should not need new callipers if you can get the new rotors/bells to fit the existing callipers. Ian is from http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/ and knows alot about brakes (also has a stunning M3 rally car) Edited January 2, 2009 by JD
