Had similar problem years ago on a Vauxhall Senator although I had water peeing everywhere in the footwell and the car started to mist up - turned out it was the heater matrix (a small rad just behind the centre console/dash area that had something to do with the heating) and not the main radiator itself. Do scoobs have one of these or something similar?

had the same problem a few weeks ago. got deano round and he located it . it was a small piece of pipe just below the turbo, not sure if yours will have the same being a sport but might be worth giving him a ring.
