quagmire Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Right guys i am looking for some advise, nothing major but just want to guage some views from you lot as you are more knowledgable on this as i am!! I have a warped disc on the scooby and need a new set, don't want anything too special as am running pretty standard but i do use the car everyday. This is my second set of standard discs i have warped quite quickly so i want to know what set to go for but like i said i don't need anything too special or expensive. So what do you lot recommend?? Any advise will be appreciated Oh the car is a 52 plated bugeye wrx if that helps! Cheers Lee
Jamessti Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Simple go to God Speed barkes I think he still doing a GB over on SN. He also gives a 12 month guarantee against warping.

Cheers Lee If you have managed to warp 2 sets then the standard brakes are not upto your style of driving, i would suggest spending a bit more than you wanted to and get a decent brake kit upgrade, i have the godspeed 335mm kit on mine and have used them on track days without any problems, i did warp a set of discs after 3 years but i think that was probably me keeping my foot on the brakes when i've stopped so the heat transfers to the discs in one spot and warps them

I Have 330mm front and rear on the www.kentscoobies.co.uk trackday STI TYPE-RA. They are brilliant. Check out the group buy. http://bbs.scoobynet.com/group-buys-356/70...-group-buy.html

And if he spent half as much on his brakes as he does on his tattoos he would have a full set of ceramics by now!!

It appears to be ok....for the moment. Cant seeing it lasting the winter, it shouldnt have gone dead after only a week. If you noticed i also had my lights on too, cos granby says that helps charge the battery. Dont normally like doing what the old man says but i thought better safe than sorry.
