Right just got the car back from the garage getting bits n bobs (non engine related) sorted and its MOT sorted out but coming home the check engine light came on and i parked up left went to use it yesterday fine no probs no check light or anything. then this morning went to go to work and it comes on again! so im a bit confused

Rang the garage and he has said to check the ipe from the Maf to turbo and clean out the maf.

So has anyone had this problem before?

Personally would be getting the garage to run a free diagnostic on it.

It does appear that they have disturbed a sensor of some kind. It's difficult to

say what to check without knowing the fault tho.

it could well be mate

however

resetting the ECU means you have cleared the faults fronm the memory , if they have been fixed you wont get the light come up again, you might also find that the light will come back on if the fault is still there, time will tell, i suppose
