Hi mate

Its up to you but i wouldn,t mix tyre sizes, i done it a while ago and you could certainly feel it, its ok on a 2 wheel drive but not on 4 wheel drive, wont do the centre diff much good as the smaller wheels will cover more distance then the bigger wheels.

The overall cicumference difference is approx 45mm per revoloution, thats nearly 2inches each turn. the 215x40 covers 1.86metres per revoloution. Per kilometer this is 538 revoloutions on the front wheel and 525 on the rear.

Thats 13 revoloutions different per kilometer. as a all wheel drive car this will eventually cause problems for your centre diff.

Surprising i no.

. . . and this doesn't take into account only running three wheels over a speed bump, one wheel going down a hole in the road, putting two wheels up on the pavement etc

If there is someone who wants to put them on there current wheels, your welcome to have them instead of me. I'm only going to put them on a spare set. I'd rather see them goto someone who really needs them.

Thanks again Micky.

most people spend more time on the open road not up and down pavements if you do then there must be somethig wrong .
