is anyone joining convoy on its way down to banbury ,i would defo like to join somewhere on m6 on the saturday then on to prodrive,hang about for couple of hours then drive back for the big run on sunday,

My son lives in Abingdon and I've given thought to perhaps going there Saturday, meeting up with the others in Banbury for a bevvy then travelling with them on the Sunday. With a little bit of forward planning we, as a club, could have made this a 'weekend away', meeting the convoy in Banbury on the Saturday and stopping overnight . . . . .

Probably too late now - gather from various threads on here that unlikely to get accommodation. Now perhaps if I'd suggested this months ago . . . .

Scoobytibs, how many in your group? Might be able to stopover at my sons if this is my final plan?

I now it's a bit late but there was nothing stopping anyone else arranging something a few months back

With all due respect Ian, it was suggested ages ago but there seem to recollect there was little interest shown at that stage - it was I believe proposed/agreed that we left matters until nearer the date ,which we have, and convoy there as a club, on the day itself.

Well if there was little interest then theres no reason to keep bringing it up about us not doing something on the Saturday as we will be doing our bit on Sunday like many others

Sorry Ian, not having a go at you m8y, but its the old KS apathy again - load of interest when its too late. . . . . Everyone knew this was going to be a huge event especially after the Richard Burns convoy and yet no one seemed bothered to act earlier

me scuzz and loonybin, are doing the full run, but when we get to banbury on the saturday, we are going to doss for a bit then drive back to kent, all staying at scuzz's and then joining everyone for the big kent run back up to banbury on the sunday morning...
