granby Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 (edited) As i was at the dyno day at TDi today someone else had parked in the space outside my house, a sky installers van pulled up in front of where i normally park and reversed into the car that was there smashing the front bumper makes me feel very lucky even though i didn't win any prizes at the raffle Edited July 12, 2008 by Granby
craigy Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 bless that dyno, go buy a lotto ticket, wednesdays draw now tho lol
col_2 Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 thats was lucky!!!!, all you need now is a black cat to go across in front of you, then a bird to **** on you, then buy me a lottery ticket
granby Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 Lucky for you........not for someone else... Lucky for the van driver i wasn't parked there
granby Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 OK i've checked out the CCTV footage i have of this, it looks like he didn't smash the bumper but only because it seems the cars handbrake wasn't on properly and the impact moved the car back about 2 feet, if it had been my car with the handbrake on properly and in gear then he would of definitely smashed my bumper The strange thing is that this happened at almost the same time i was on the dyno

granby Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 You mean it works?????Glad to see it was of some use... Have you tried the other camera yet ian? jon I know considering i fitted it i'm amazed Got the other camera on at the moment and to be honest i don't think theres a lot of difference between them, when i get a spare moment i'm gonna record something back to back (at day & night) and compare them properly
bockett Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 OK i've checked out the CCTV footage Always handy to have a Camera looking at the car. Never know what you'll pick up

Or it could be the quality of your recorder!! If you want me to set it up, bring to one of the meets and i will do it for you... jon Edited July 12, 2008 by j-k
dazzlers82 Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 well it was obviously not meant to be your car getting hit
bockett Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 you MAY have to RTFM!! HAHAH i remember we used to write this on the apprentices technical manuals and they would always ask what does RTFM mean.
bockett Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 ps are you stand alone HDR recording or recording via PC?
granby Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 ps are you stand alone HDR recording or recording via PC? Stand along HDR
baser999 Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Classic - driver gets out, clearly totally aware of what he's done, rubs bumper thereby 'resolving the problem', but then looks round to make sure no one saw it Given the speed he reversed in, it must have been a bloody big gap
